The Birth of a Wallpaper
Michelangelo’s fresco has been reproduced in various forms, from posters to t-shirts, from phone cases to mugs. However, it was not until 2022 that a group of designers decided to use the “Creation of Adam” scene as a wallpaper design. They wanted to create something that would capture the essence of the artwork and bring it to modern interiors.
They started by scanning the original artwork in high resolution and then digitally enhancing it to remove any imperfections caused by centuries of wear and tear. They then isolated the hands of God and Adam from the rest of the scene and adjusted the colors to create a more vibrant and contemporary look. The final result was a stunning wallpaper design that would make any room look like a work of art.
